Giving Back Generation Awarded Charity Status, Seeks Gift Aid Approval

London, UK – Giving Back Generation (GBG) is proud to announce that it has officially been registered as a charity with the Charity Commission for England and Wales under Charity Number 1214144 SPECIAL RESOLUTION (3). This milestone marks a significant step in GBG’s mission to empower young people aged 6–23—particularly those facing financial hardship—in the London boroughs of Barnet and Haringey.

Since its founding as a company limited by guarantee in January 2021, GBG has delivered weekend bootcamps, community projects, and skills workshops in digital literacy, financial management, sports, and leadership. Achieving registered-charity status enables GBG to strengthen its governance, enhance transparency, and broaden its impact across North London.

“Becoming a registered charity is a major achievement for everyone at GBG,” said Tim Gashi, Chair of Trustees. “This recognition affirms our commitment to public benefit and enables us to forge deeper partnerships, secure funding, and scale our programmes for London’s young people.”

In parallel with its charity registration, GBG has submitted an application for HMRC Gift Aid. Gift Aid approval will allow GBG to reclaim basic-rate tax on eligible donations, increasing the value of supporters’ gifts at no extra cost to them. GBG anticipates a decision on its Gift Aid application in the coming months.
